The household card explained

I want to nominate someone for my household card

The household card is an incredible benefit of your Costco membership, and you’re able to nominate your spouse, domestic partner or an immediate family member over the age of 18, as long as they live at the same residential address as you.

If you’re already a member, stop by the membership counter at your local warehouse and let our staff know you want to nominate someone for your household card. Upon collecting their card, the person you nominate will need to provide photo identification that displays the same residential address as you, the primary member.

If you’re not yet a member and want to sign up for a membership online, you can nominate your household cardholder during that process. If you don’t nominate anyone at this point, you’ll need to visit a warehouse to add the household card.

Follow our guides to sign up for a Gold Star or Business membership if you’re unsure how to sign up online.

You must be over 18 to become a member.
